Permission Marketing and Its Methods
A drastic movement of change is taking place in the world of marketing. Audiences of consumers no longer want to be marketed through interruptions in their different forms of entertainment. These old methods are still being used, like magazine ads or commercials on the tv, but they aren't the best ways to advertise any longer. Defenses for this type of advertisement are being developed by consumers. They are able to effectively avoid advertisements once they know that they are being sold. Marketing now involves a process that is lengthier but also more efficient. You must first get someone’s permission to advertise to them. This can be accomplished in a few various methods. Offering a discount, valuable coupon, or free item in return for a survey are a few examples. The customer will spend time interacting with you when they partake in any of these ways. At this point you will be on the way to developing a relationship with them. The permission to use a customer’s valuable time is extremely valuable to a business. This is actually best done with the use of the internet. If you wanted to physically offer a discount or coupon, there would be many costs involved. There would be a need for physical coupon copies, stamps and envelopes. These costly supplies can be eliminated by the use of the internet thus allowing you to market this way much cheaper. People pay attention to what you are trying to sell them if you market in this way according to statistics. They also will take a longer period of time to pay attention. This marketing is no different than any other kind in terms of its transparency. The difference is they will be ok with it since they are also getting something in return. They know that even though they may not want to buy what you are selling, they will still be getting something they want in return for their time.
