If you run your own business, you will find that internal conflicts in the business can quickly dismantle everything toward which you are working. Even though you are unable to - and probably unwilling to - be involved in solving every conflict, you can have a hand in the way every conflict is solved by having ground rules in place. With ground rules in place for resolving conflicts, your employees will be able to solve their disputes calmly and with as little mess as possible! Of course, should there be a conflict that the employees are unable to work out on their own, it is important that you have a step in place that enables you or a manager to step in and mediate. In this way, you can ensure that you still have a clear view of everything that is going on in your business, and will be able to keep things under control.
